The
highly graphical displays give an inspector all he needs
whilst keeping things clear for the less technically minded. |
The comparison
to the master model is made over thousands of points on
the surface to ensure that an overall picture of deviations
is made. |
The whole
process is quicker and gives more information than CMM
systems. |
Alignment
to the Cad model can be made by giving priority to datums.
The inspection report will describe the whole component
but can give specific mention to particular features or
SCs. |
If tolerances
are known, the report can be used as a “Go-No go”
gauge but colour banding pass and fail areas. |
The scanning
system is portable, enabling it to be brought to the subject. |
The subject
matter does not require aligning to any grid system. This
is all done at the processing stage. This avoids the need
for any fixtures. |
The inspection
process can be semi automated for batch processing. |
